The Western Australian Perth Roller Derby League (PRD) made the trek to Hobart, Tasmania to bout against South Island Sirens (SIS). It was a fun bout and the girls from WA have a lot of skills and took home the win. It's always great to see mainland leagues on Tasmanian soil. Next weekend continues the trend with a bunch of Victorian Leagues coming to Westbury for a massive weekend.
Fakington Wilde is a madman... with an amazing beard. He also does weird crazy words in the form of poems.
I met the man at Junction Arts Festival 2012 while he was yelling words at the passing crowd in Civic Square. Yes, it was apart of the festival. He works from tubes, like big batons, with words plastered on them from magazines and other print media. It's freeform, funny and edgy.
Fakington runs Session on a regular basis in Launceston, so you don't need to wait for Junction to enjoy his audible work.

After an amazing weekend learning from one of Australia's top fashion photographer Peter Coulson, I was feeling inspired to try out some of the things I had learnt.
Erin and I have been talking about doing a shoot for ages, but schedules never seemed to met up till now. It was advantageous that it was after a weekend with Peter.
So we just tried different things out. Varied up the clothes and the lighting. Nothing more than a fun learning experience for both of us. The post-processing was a continuation of trying new things out. Normally I would stick to one style for the set, but as we varied up the shoot quite a bit, I have opted to also vary up the end results as well.

During my wondering last night in Hobart, Tasmania I came across a gentleman near Wrest Point Casino. He was standing in a sea of birds, a mix of ducks and Seagulls. I got chatting to him and found out that he has been feeding the ducks for years. He seemed to know all of them. The Seagulls also know that the man met food was coming and took over the lawn to get anything they could. It was an amazing sight.
