It's always fun to work with friends on a job. Bindy (friends call her Bin) asked me to shoot a demonstration video for her relaxation classes. Nothing fancy, just a nice video so people at the back of the class could easily she what she is demoing live. We wanted a nice relaxing location with garden and settled for Launceston City Park. When we got there the weather was threatening to rain, so a hastily change of plan and we headed to the bandstand located in the middle of the park.
We where not the only ones that saw this change of weather and thought of using the area. Long story short, we shot the video with a bunch of middle aged people getting drunk in the next to the bandstand. Talk about testing the usage of the relaxation techniques! While they where polite enough not to interrupt our shoot, the language we heard was amazing (I am not averse to swearing, but man...)
Here are a few stills from the video.
Before we finished, I asked Bin if she wouldn't mind doing a portrait. I secretly wanted to practice my natural light photography as I have been way to reliant on strobes of late and of course Bin is a beautiful subject.
